Share a picture that captures a fleeting moment on the street!

MY PLACEHOLDERS.

I shall choose the photo of the week entry later in the week.

Most of my fleeting moments are captured while driving along in the Starwagon – myself as passenger. Passenger is a curious position in life. Especially with a camera to hand. No stopping to pose or focus. Just fleeting moments.

FLEETING MOMENTS FROM THE STARWAGON.

The first shot is back in the city in the suburb where I grew up. I visited last year. When I was growing up, Belmore and Wiley Park in Sydney were mono-cultures. Pretty much. Now they are eclectic mixtures of a wider world.

I have just realised that many of my shots are FLEETING MOMENTS due to my timidity at approaching people. Therefore I indulge myself with a look through  old photos.

The ones I am seeing by OTHER BLOGGERS truly appeal to me this week. Thank you, Everyone, for the insights into your worlds. Here are my self-indulgences.

FLEETING MOMENTS ON THE STREET BY THE TIMID PHOTOGRAPHER

WE took my niece to the Central Railway Station of Sydney to catch a train back to Newcastle, the city where she was living. Traffic hold ups meant that she crossed the road in front of us. I watched her courage as she walked off with her world in disarray following her recall from London and the dying year with her Mum. A fleeting moment. She seemed to have her whole world on her.  Fleeting moments sometimes bring a tear to me.

ON THE STREET IN BRISBANE. A FLEETING MOMENT DOWN HERE. AN ETERNAL MOMENT UP THERE.
