AN OLD BENCH AT THE SHOWGROUND. ICE CREAM AND WAFFLES AT GROWERS’ MARKETS.
Over in the USA the Danas are in an Hiatus which leaves me undirected here in Australia. No matter. 250 words minimum coming up. Today, we did a First Birthday Party. 4 generations of a family and some oddments. I have it down as perfect event. Magby is now 6 and her first birthday was pretty much perfect as well – retrospection beings perfection for me in the remembering.
For Magby, we were up on the Tweed on the NSW/ QUEENSLAND border. We had one excellent day and then the Kids lined up for a second. Says I – best we don’t push our luck.
Says the Kids – let’s go for it.
First time I consciously realised that there need not be a time limit or a budget on the good times. Second day we went to CURRUMBIN WILDLIFE SANCTUARY. That meant crocodiles and Tasmanina Devils and kangaroos and a bird show.
Today, we had pink icing and Kati B piped the icing on the cake made by her Grandmother and decorated it with Lady beetle candles. The cousins played and we had sandwiches and slices and pavlova and party foods. Spot on !
Early in the day we took Magby and Rose to Growers’ Market down at the end of the street and did some refined purchasing and bartering. We checked out the poultry pavilion but resisted buying a baby chicken of any kind. Lucky. The Parents would not have liked it whereas the Book on HOW TO MAKE PRESENTS and the CLIP ON EARRINGS and GLASS JEWELLERY case were HITS.
Ha. Ha. I don’t. I have 6 tabs open at once on Google Chrome. TV and Radio on and chatting to Izzy. Eating and drinking and phones lined up in front of me. I don’t stay focussed.
