UP No 7  : awake and out of bed

THE YAAN.

Morning to you all. The first day of Spring here in Australia and its looking good. Today’s definition of UP – awake and out of bed. Let me think a bit and I shall be right back to you. I am UP and I am out of bed. I am still in pyjamas and in no rush to get out of them. I have venetian blinds in my bedroom so I waken to slatted memories of childhood. I have a fine passionfruit vine growing out along the bedroom wall and there are meant to be tomatoes but the excessive rains of the winter seem to have put the kebosh on them. I sleep, generally, deeply and long and peacefully. How good is that ? And I waken stiff limbed and maybe a little less than joyful, but not too bad at all – so long as I keep it relational to the Bad Years.

I check my Internet activity when I wake up. Sitting in the front room looking East. I take a look to see whether Leo is still in the front paddock and then take my white tea and a bagel out on the front verandah. Easing gently into each day.  I did about one year’s posts of the first photograph I took each morning.

“ON awakening, let us think about the 24 hours  ahead …….. “

4.43 pm and I have been UP for hours. It’s a classic Spring day. I had lunch at the North Beach. A touch of sun and gentle warmth. My spirits are already lifted. Now lets take a look for matters about waking up.  I shall take a look at CARTOONS first up.
