THE YAAN.
And my 250 words. I went for a walk today, way out to the end of our footbridge in Urunga. They call us the “little town that time forgot’ and that seems pretty true. What we do have is the footbridge out over the water and along the rockwall to the very mouth of the Bellinger and Kalang Rivers. Today was the first time I had walked the whole way. I have been walking the footbridge for many years. It only went about halfway out until 2010 and then the access to the beach was via a sandy trail through the dunes. Now, people can walk along the footbridge the whole way. I did that and when I got to the end, there was this driftwood village. I don’t know who made it . The whole walk was a comfort to me. From the young family in the swing park to the German Visitors at the end of the walk who rushed up to hug us. They knew us from Facebook. Add the village and my psyche is soothed.
This particular experience ( and variations thereupon) has covered my own childhood, the childhoods of my children and now my grandchild as well as all the phases of my adulthood.
They ell me there were whales there today. I just missed seeing them and I don’t mind at all. I saw the Driftwood Village. What more could I ask ?
Then I walked back into a sun setting – and Home.
THE FOOTBRIDGE WALK.

THE FOOTBRIDGE AND THE LAGOON IN OTHER TIMES.

And now that I have found COMFORT in 60 years of Footbridge walking and 4 generations of family –
AND NOW !
AND NOW FOR THE COMFORT IMAGES FROM OTHER BLOGGERS ETC.
Having trouble finding images I like this week. A little too schmaltzy for my taste. I DO like the ones below.

Hmm. Usually I see a whole lot of shots I like – but not so much this week. I shall look again tomorrow.
COMFORT ? THINK ABOUT IT.

Aha ! What comforts one person may well distress another. I hadn’t thought of that so far.
