5 JANUARY 2012 : A WATCHED POT NEVER BOILS.

056

THE YAAN.

I took this shot today out in the bush and I am putting it up for one reason. IT’S PRETTY.

And I have posted the two videos below because – they are beautiful.

THE YAAN CONTINUED,

Cainer says today that a watched pot never boils so I turned my mind away from the Pot and over to beautiful things. The disruption in my personal life continues on its course and spreads throughout another layer of family. I would love to do something to fix it all. ANYTHING. I would like to watch closely for the boiling. I would like to stir the Broth with the biggest wooden spoon I possess. I have called in every resource I can think of – internal and external and now I sit – powerless in an unmanageable period of my life and turn my thinking to beautiful things. I open my GEM COLLECTION and listen to some PAUL KELLY. Today, I AM thinking I might update the theme of 2012 ON THE BENCH– matching perhaps with THE GEM COLLECTION.

Let’s see how we do it.

1. Locate myself here on the eBENCH. In the present. Another beautifully comfortable day. Warm and breezy with birds calling and the wooden table under my hands.

2. Grab a quick look at the Serenity Prayer.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change

Courage to change the things I can

And the wisdom to know the difference.

3. What is calling to be done ? NOT in the URGENT demand of Unwisdom. Listen for the Whispers, Girl. Listen for the Whispers. OK That’s done. Obedience to the Whispers. I know now that I need to find one dragon for one girl, one fairy for another and that leaves a tiny girl. I don’t yet know what she likes. Maybe a Mermaid.

4.  Now – in the process of restoring Sanity, I turn to more idle beauty and small tasks. I venture into the world of a NEW THEME.

5. LET IT ALL SLEEP FOR ONE MORE DAY. Just go on with the GEM COLLECTION. Beautiful Images. Beautiful poetry and words. And a brief glance at some more WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGERS for the Topic of WINTER.

All that is beautiful, true and good, simply comes as a grace. It descends on you.

WHOOPS I almost forgot THE BOOK OF DAYS.

Fresh from Pip Wilson. Here’s a quote I like.

I owe much; I have nothing; I give the rest to the poor.
Last will and testament of François Villon, (1431 – c. 1474), French poet
