WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE : NEAR AND FAR

PLACEHOLDER FOR NEAR AND FAR.

Morning, All. Lovely Spring Day in Australia. I am using this one as a placeholder while I go and have my brekkie in the sun. One cup of white tea and a bagel coming up. I took this shot last year in Sydney in Springtime. I will be back later with my usual barrage of images. I’ve chosen this because of the Nearness of the Bank and the ATMs and the Farness of the old buildings in reflection. It was the week before OCCUPY SYDNEY. None of us saw it coming.  In the windows is the reflection of  the far side of the road – quite a way off and the metal curves are far higher up than they appear here. 

Okey Doke. I am back. NEAR AND FAR. Now for my Saturday morning of self indulgence. I’m sitting in our rural cottage and thinking of my wee granddaughter who is in Sydney this very day to receive an art award. She’s a Country Kid and is “ extremely” excited. Imagine the things she will be seeing today ! The next image is through a low glass ceiling up to Centrepoint Tower.

I still haven’t stumbled across the ONE shot which sums it up for me – but I will. First I have to go and vote in the local Council Elections. Maybe I shall take the camera and see what I see en route.  In the Meantime, our breakwater and footbridge leading back to the town of Urunga:
