THE YAAN : I didn’t say much about Summer in the previous post. I got hooked into the astrological side of 2012 and then the mega BOOK OF DAYS. Next thing, I was leaping from Southern Cliffs in the late 1890s with LAWRENCE HARGRAVE. It was the kite flight that got to me. And the people thinking he was mad to think he could fly. What possessed Lawrence to leap from a cliff on the 2nd day of January, I wonder? Wonder how he felt, floating there for 14 seconds. A Summer’s day and a kite. Today would be good for kites. Wind and sun. Anyhows, I will be back with Summertime Snippets and more Photo Challenges about WINTER. First a Siesta ( I don’t think there is a specific Australian concept – hang on. There must be . An afternoon Snooze perhaps. ) Then the SUMMER/WINTER COMBO.
The Argus (Melbourne, Vic. : 1848 – 1956), Friday 19 January 1951,
5.28 pm. 24.7 degrees Celsius. Clear and Sunny.
I found a pic of myself on the last time I saw snow in lie-on-the-ground quantities. Its 1970 so things have changed greatly- for me – since then I ’m using it while I hunt round the Blogs for the WINTER BLOGGERS.
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGERS
